The Playwrights Union hosts its seventh annual reading series of new work. These six original plays were drafted during a month-long writing challenge to our playwrights in February.

A visit from two strangers exposes a 37-year-old secret in this play about the long repercussions of Argentina’s “Dirty War.”

8pm THE HOUSE OF THE NEGRO INSANE by

Terence Anthony Attius builds coffins at the Taft State Hospital for the Negro Insane, where he has been locked up for over a decade; when two new patients ask him to help them escape, he dares dream of another life.

A modern fairy tale about the most forbidden thing a woman can do in Hollywood: age.

6pm WELCOME TO KEENE by Brian James Polak

Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town,” 115 years later . . . a three-act play telling the story of a small American town through the everyday lives of its citizens.
