We hope you can join us for Stages – Readings of Ten-Minute Plays and Monologues featured in the “Best Of” Smith & Kraus Anthologies. Three plays are brand new from our November Ten-Minute Play Challenge. Come participate in the process as we celebrate provocative short and sweet works from member and alumni playwrights.

Domestic Help by Julianne Jigour

Despite being born a clown, Felix lacks the skills to make it in entertainment, so he is placed in a domestic help position for Margaret, a woman consumed by the writing of a never-ending to-do list. Felix is eager to prove his worth by diligently taking orders and minding his own business, but his job performance begins to suffer when he discovers the children in Margaret’s backyard.
Carry On by Jennie Webb
Directed by Emily Chase
“Carry On” finds a woman of a certain age weighing her losses and what she carries – how she’s been carrying it – as she looks ahead at a new and uncertain leg of her journey.

Atwater Village Theatre (AVT)
3269 Casitas Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90039
AVT is located at the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex. Free Parking is available in the Atwater Crossing Parking Lot P1 on Casitas Avenue (south of Momed Restaurant, north of Minneapolis Street) and Parking Lot P2 (south of Minneapolis Street) as well as on the street.
Please note: AVT is on a street that does not connect to Glendale Boulevard (see map below). It’s accessible via Fletcher Drive, and from Glendale Boulevard via La Clede Avenue and Tyburn Street.
